    Unforgettable 

    The lesson I cannot forget is about RREF. First reason is that it’s really hard to reduce a matrix to it’s reduced echelon form. Second reason is, after the hardship in reducing a matrix, the output will make every other problems “easier” to solve. So I think that since we dealt with matrices almost all semester, learning how to reduce on to RREF, will surely be helpful and will make things easier.

    EXCITING. The fact that this is my class every Wednesday and Friday, the games, classmates, prof, and how the lessons are delivered stops me from being lazy to not attend the class. I’m always excited on what would be the activity for the day and what are the lessons to be discussed.

    THANK YOU EVERYONE! Thank you Sir Paul for your patience, hard work, and passion in teaching. I’m sorry if at some point, I did not give my best, yet you gave yours. I’m really sorry. I also want to thank all of my classmates for the fun experiences you all have brought. I like to give my a special gratitude to my quizmates and projectmates for the friendship and carrying me at hard times. Thank you everyone! :))

    Fourier Transform in Optics 

    Week 4: Laplace and Fourier Transform

    Fourier transform can be found on the Double Slit experiment performed by Thomas Young. The double slit experiment shows that light behaves like waves and not like particles. Fourier transform is involved because if a light passes through at slit, it will create a Fourier transform of the slits.

    Symmetry in our Galaxy

    Milky Way Galaxy

    Symmetry in Astronomy is rooted in fundamental physics concepts like the Laws of Motion and such. Scientists exploited the symmetry found in these laws and formulated more to create the science we know today. So now, one great example of symmetry found in our universe is our very own galaxy, the Milky Way. According to a study, there is a growing arm in the galaxy, and due to a rare occurrence, it formed a mirror like appearance to it’s other half. (Which is cool!)

    QUANTUM MECHANICS 

    According to Jenann Ismael, Quantum Mechanics is a mathematical machine for predicting the behaviors of microscopic particles. In relation to vectors, Quantum Mechanics deals with Hilbert space, a vector space with an inner product defined. An example of this finite hilbert spaces are real numbers and complex numbers. Quantum mechanics may sound seem too complex, and it is, but it’s practical uses are for building precise clocks, creating super computers, imporivng microscopes, and formulating uncrackable codes.

    K U L O T 

    Week 1: Introduce yourself

    My name is Jerico Lim Silapan. You can call me Jeco, Echo, Jecong, Kulot, but you can just call me Jerico.

    With the rumors spreading around about how 13x subjects are hard, my initial reaction as I saw my appeal contract, I was afraid and petrified for some seconds. Seeing not just one, but two (2) 13x subjects was like a scene from horror movie and gave me a chill in the spine. Even though it’s hard, I will do my best and pray.

    Honestly, during my grade school years, I’m a MTAP student and I was sent by our school to compete. I was confident at my Mathematics skills before, but after I stepped in the High School zone, it was all flushed in the sewers. I don’t know why but during my high school, I’m like a child learning math again. I don’t really know what happened therefore my grades are dropping harder than a lit bass, but I never stopped trying to learn. I never hated math, and I can say that I’m a little bit comfortable with it, but I’m a slow learner. I need to put effort to understand it and overcome the walls build by the legendary Mathematics. So I will never stop trying and will do my best for this course.

    I currently feeling scared but with enthusiasm. It’s like the feeling when you are entering a new school, where you see new teachers and classmates, you are scared and alone but there is something inside you that wants to meet all of the new people and experience the new adventure coming.

    P.S.
    K U L O T cause I have a curly hair, but at some time last year, I did an experiment and relaxed my hair on a salon. Well, just look at my hair during class to see the results.
